Are you confused about the multiple interpretations of PCI Compliance?
Do you know when the mandatory deadlines are for compliance?
What is PCI compliance?
Major credit card brands including VISA and MasterCard have created the PCI standard which details minimum security controls that must be in place for any company to continue to take credit card payments from its customers.
There have been many deadlines issued, many differing interpretations of the standards and exactly what is required, raising alarm at senior management level as organisations struggle to define exactly what they need to do. Gaining appropriate advice and interpretation of the requirements of the PCI standard is essential to ensure effort and expenditure is focused on areas that will achieve ongoing compliance.

Expense Management
25.05.2009
Most companies’ expense spend is on average 40% higher than it should be. Operational expense processes need to be transparent, auditable with delegated authority and automated wherever appropriate. They should be process driven with tight governance and controls to ensure staff follow procedure and to help identify whether each spend area adds value to the business or is merely a drain on the bottom line. For example, an efficient cost code allocation system quickly aligns all expenditure against departments and individuals; expense reporting ensures tight monitoring, tracking and accountability of every spend area; and regular supplier contract reviews, especially in high spend areas such as travel, accommodation and mobile phone / technology, helps keep costs down to a minimum. Any new governance processes need to then be communicated and made available to staff with checks in place and clear ownership and sign off policies.
Putting in place such systems is neither costly nor complicated. F2X delivers its services on a risk-free basis. Its risk reward model means any payment received by F2X is generated solely out of savings made by their client. Over the last 5 years the team at F2X helped save companies over £50 million through expenses reviews.

March 2009, F2X 2009 Annual Ski trip
- The F2X team turned their talents to the slopes with some of the team never having stepped out on the white stuff with big planks on their feet before. We collectively agreed that the evening activity of mountain biking down an un-groomed blue run, in the dark, was a bit over the top. Literally! Nonetheless everybody had a great time and importantly came back in one piece.
